This paper discusses the incremental expansion of the massive machinetype
communication(mMTC) devices and the discontinuous reception(DRX) mechanism
under the 5th(5G) mobile communication network architecture so that all
types of MTC devices can benefit from the DRX sleep mechanism, less delay or
more saved power effect.First, MTC devices the packet arrival time are predicted
to find better sleep interval in DRX.Through accurate predicted packet arrival time
to make power can be saved(or even less latency can be achieved)for MTC devices
to prolong their life time.Via simulations both effect on latency and power
saving, can be bettered as compared to the closely related mechanismes in the
literature.
