先前研究指出手寫文字與人格特質或想法與感覺有一定的關聯性,換言之,手寫文字較易表現出人的情感。但是,由於電腦與智慧型攜帶裝置和網路的普及,使電子郵件、簡訊與即時通訊軟體等可以快速傳遞文字訊息的方式大量地取代以往的手寫書信,人與人之間的文字溝通也因此被電腦字元所取代,因此本研究欲探討親筆手寫文字與使用電腦文字輸入之間的特性與使用情形上的差異性。在本研究的使用者經驗研究中顯示手寫文字比起電腦文字較帶有情感,並較易讓對方感受到親近與誠意。另外也透過訪談與問卷調查,歸納出常用的各種文字輸入方法與存在的一些問題,使得受試者在使用文字輸入通訊軟體上造成不便。因此本研究設計一套模擬手寫書信的通訊模式,記錄使用者在裝置上以手寫下的文字筆跡,並將筆跡傳送給對方,雙方看到的即為對方親自手寫的文字訊息,希望可以藉由此模式讓使用者在享受網路通訊方便的同時,也保留手寫文字的特性與情感。在使用者經驗測試中,本研究以此模式為基礎設計出一套即時通訊軟體後,尋找一些受試者,並在受試者使用此即時通訊軟體一段時間後填寫研究問卷,結果顯示這套通訊模式確實讓受試者與他人使用文字通訊時,願意回到使用「親自手寫文字」這個方法。


Handwriting can reflect writers’ personality, thoughts, and emotions. In other words, handwriting can express human feeling. However, with the popularity in mobile devises and personal computers, computer texting such as emails and instant messages has replaced traditional handwriting letters in personal communication. This work aims at exploring the characteristics of texting and handwriting and differences. Field studies based on interviews and questionnaires reveal that handwritten can reveal more personal feeling and convey writer’s emotion and sincerity. The studies also summarize issues existing in several general using input method for Chinese texting. This research propose to message with emotion-embedded handwriting texting by recording handwriting strokes and sending them as electronic messages. This feature intend to preserve the convenience of instant texting with personal and emotional features of handwriting. Finally, user studies are conducted to show that our system can make them enjoy writing instead of typing and handwriting texting is preferred in delivery of sincerity and emotion.
