資訊及通訊技術和積體電路等技術日益進步普及，以往只運用於 3C(電腦、通訊和消費電子)電子產品的通訊技術漸漸普及到家電產品之中而逐漸形成智慧家庭(Smart Home)的概念，智慧家庭裝置的商品被認為具有潛力成為「下一件大事」(Next Big Thing)，有望接棒智慧型行動電話產品開創出全新的大商機。

這篇論文研究圍繞在相關「智慧家庭」主題的專利，以比 IPC 國際專利分類更加細緻化的 CPC 合作專利分類為家庭自動化(Home Automation)所創建的H04L12/2803 分類號和其下分支的子分類號所組合而成的一系列分類號作為檢索條件，專利檢索範圍包含世界主要的專利局：美國專利商標局、歐洲專利局、中國國家知識產權局、世界智慧財產權組織。分析比較此領域內主要專利權人，例如：三星、樂金、谷歌、Vivint、索尼、小米、華為、松下等公司的專利內容及背後所代表的研發方向趨勢並且搭配技術功效矩陣分析，希望藉由專利申請的角度觀察這個新興科技產業過去和現在的發展歷程以及未來可能的趨勢方向，協助對於意圖了解「智慧家庭」主題的公司行號、企業或個人，可在短時間內獲取國際大廠專利申請範疇的訊息，以節省時間、集中研究量能、減少資源浪費，達到更好的運用效率。

在最後一章節當中，介紹新版家用智慧裝置標準規範 Matter 1.0，這個由Apple、Google、Amazon、Samsung、Zigbee 等國際企業聯盟共同為智慧家用裝置推動的規範，在歷經一番波折之後，終於在 2022 年 10 月推出，Matter 1.0的內容簡介及其所要解決之問題介紹。

As information and communication technology and integrated circuits
technology become more and more popular, these technologies used only in 3C
(Computer, Communication, and Consumer Electronics) electronic products are
gradually spreading to home appliances and forming the concept of Smart Home,
Smart Home is considered to have the potential to become the "Next Big Thing" and
is expected to take over Smart Phone products in creating a whole new big business
opportunity.

This paper research related patents around the "Smart Home". A series of
classifications based on the H04L12/2803 classification and its sub-classifications,
which were created by the CPC cooperative patent classification for home
automation is used as a search condition, and the search scope includes the world's
major patent offices: the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the European
Patent Office, the State Intellectual Property Office of China, and the World
Intellectual Property Organization. Analyze and compare the main patentees in this
field, such as: Samsung, LG, Google, Vivint, Sony, Xiaomi, Huawei, Panasonic, and
other companies. I hope to research the direction of development trends and help
people who intend to understand the topic of “Smart Home” in a short time, reduce
resources and achieve better efficiency.

The last chapter, introduce the new version of the standard specification for
smart home devices, Matter 1.0, which is jointly promoted by Apple, Google,
Amazon, Samsung, Zigbee, and other international enterprises. The content of
Matter 1.0 is introduced and the problems to be solved.
