  • 本論文發展出一套可應用於交通監控之即時影像分析處理系統,提出能自動從影像中擷取交通資訊的技術,主要目的在於只使用一般普通的攝影裝置,配合本系統所發展的演算方法,可即時地獲得道路上車輛之數目、速度、車流及平均車速等資訊,提供用路人即時準確的道路交通狀況。
    在擷取交通資訊的過程中,我們從CCD輸入的交通影像序列中,
    利用分析連續畫面之像素差異法得到影像中移動物體之特徵,計算多車道上經過之車輛數目,並針對多車道中各種情況如車輛行駛於兩車道間、堵車狀況等做分析處理。由車輛數及車行速度可推算出許多交通資訊提供給用路人即時的交通資訊。我們以家用攝影機在交通道路上拍攝之監視影像驗証所提出的方法,證明即時處理速度與正確率都能達到令人滿意的結果。


    In this thesis, we developed a traffic monitoring system based on real-time image analyzing and processing. We Propose a technique which can extract traffic information from the images automatically. The main purpose lies in utilizing existing traffic photography equipment, cooperating with this system to get more information, as in vehicle numbers, vehicle speed, vehicle flow and average velocity of vehicles. To Offer passerby and drivers the real-time traffic status information.

    During the process of extracting traffic information, we utilize the traffic image array input from CCD. By analyzing the pixels’ difference between consecutive image frames we can get the moving object's characteristics and count the number of the passing vehicles in the multi-lanes. Furthermore this approach could help to spot the vehicle when it crosses the lanes and detect the traffic congestions. We can obtain the traffic information by counting the number and the velocity of the vehicles and provide them to the users. In order to verify the proposed approach, we capture the traffic flow using the home camera, then analyze the image sequences. The experiment result shows the real-time processing speed and the correctness are very promising.
