  • This study presents a database for nonlinear model of structural component. The global nonlinear behavior of a structure can be presented in a model which simulates each component of the structure with appropriate precision. To build a nonlinear model for a structure, however requires nonlinear component models for simulating the nonlinear behaviors of various structural components. It is needed to establish a structural component model database by collecting various structural component models addressing various structural details. This study proposes a common data structure and a relational database schema for storing structural component models. The database management system is presented in detail. The 3-level tree data structure is proposed as a data model. Based from The 3-level tree data structure, models-elements-curves entity relationship schema is established. The emphasis is on information retrieval and storing nonlinear models. Columns, beams, beam-column joints, walls and isolator bearings are primary nonlinear models that successfully stored in database system.
