  • 本文是架構在點雲壓縮(Point Cloud Compression, PCC)技術、MPEG-I的國際標準最終草案(即國際標準的前身)及標準必要專利(Standard Essential Patents, SEPs)下的研究。以探討在一個技術即將成為國際標準(International Standard, IS)之前,各家企業在標準必要專利(SEPs)上的布局策略。
    我們於第二章中,先介紹了一些點雲壓縮(PCC)中常用的基礎技術(例如,點雲原理、測試模型、編解碼器架構等)。接著於第三章中,依照動態影像專家小組(Moving Picture Experts Group, MPEG)發布的PCC標準規範,設定一/多個檢索關鍵詞,並從不同角度(趨勢、數量和持有人)對檢索出的專利文獻進行分析。第四章承接了第三章分析結果,將其中部份的專利文獻映射到不同的技術類別,在本文中,所謂的技術類別是由PCC標準規範之下的技術分類來定義的。最後於第五章中,彙整第四章的映射結果,並分析不同企業對於點雲標準化所採取的研發和布局方案。


    Nowadays, Point Cloud Compression (PCC) technology is a very popular technology which apply on autonomous, AR, VR & MR industry and all companies are jostle to apply the patent in order to consolidate their status. However, PPC technology is only a final draft International Standard (FDIS) under MPEG-I.So, this purpose of the study was to assess what is the layout strategy of different companies on Standards-Essential Patents (SEPs) before PCC technology become International Standard (IS).
    In chapter two, we introduce some basic technology of PCC (e.g., principle, test module and codec structure…). Then in chapter three, based on PCC Standard Specification which release by Moving Picture Experts Group to define the keywords and search patent in different angle (trend/quantity/holders) for analysis. According to chapter three’s analysis result, we separate these patents into different category by different technology which define by PCC Standard Specification in chapter four. The final chapter of this dissertation is divided into two parts. The first part is summary the mapping result of previous chapter and second part is discuss the layout strategy layout strategy of different competitors on PCC Standards-Essential Patents.
