近年來由於科技的進步,檢測方式可藉助睡眠檢測儀器的輔助,讓睡眠呼吸中止症問題開始受到重視,愈來愈多的學者從事睡眠障礙相關的研究。
「睡眠呼吸中止症」是指在睡眠的時候發生的呼吸中止或暫停的現象,這種現象是異常的表現。患有這種疾病障礙的人,進行睡眠活動時,很可能會發生重複性的呼吸中止。
本研究係藉由相關文獻探討及焦點團體法之運用,召開三場專家訪談會議,對患有阻塞型呼吸中止症且曾經用過CPAP來治療的患者進行訪談,藉由訪談結果找出與病患最在意的問題,然後再透過CPAP儀器業者之專業團隊來針對這些問題提出解決方案。
除了可以替病患解決CPAP使用上的問題,可以使病患更加願意使用CPAP,另一方面CPAP儀器業者也可以參考此研究結果,更加瞭解為何病患不願意購買CPAP儀器的原因,透過為病患詳細進行解說,或替病患解決其它任何的問題,使病患願意去購買CPAP儀器,提高儀器業者對CPAP的銷售量。
Due to the recent advancements in technology, tests can be performed through sleep detection instruments; therefore the problem of Sleep Apnea Syndrome is gaining increasing recognition, with more academics committed to sleep disorder related researches.
Sleep Apnea Syndrome (SAS) refers to the abnormal phenomenon of ceased or paused breathing during sleep. Patients suffering from this type of disorder may experience recurrent breathing stoppages during sleep.
Through literature review and focus group techniques, this study conducted 3 expert interviews on Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome patients who have been treated with a CPAP instrument. The most prevalent problems experienced by the patients were determined through the interviews, and then solutions for theses problems were provided by experts from the CPAP instrument manufacturers.
In addition to resolving annoying CPAP instrument usage issues, making the patients more willing to use CPAP instrument, from the research results, CPAP instrument manufacturers can gain a deeper insight into the patients’ reluctance in purchasing CPAP instruments. Detailed explanations or resolving issues experienced by patients, increases their willingness to purchase CPAP instruments, and ultimately increases the sales volume of CPAP instruments.
