自工業時代乞至今日,全球的氣候變化和環境危機日益顯著。人為的溫室氣體排放或對環境的破壞與自然界的其他變數產生連鎖加成,使許多地方經歷過熱的夏季與延遲的冬季。乾旱及洪水又肆虐無數的家園,接著是密集的森林火災、沙漠化加劇和海水異常的暖化與酸化,不僅危害到人們的生命和經濟,也加速自然生態系的崩潰。
然而,建築物作為人們拓展經濟與生存安全需求,是一座座佇立在地表上的巨大的量體,也是科技能力的展現,其規模能從獨立的別墅、小型社區到緻密的都市與其他基礎建設,其密集地建造或使用都能對環境造成各種壓力,因此許多建築相關專業的設計者也正在加速研究以改善其環保與永續性。
本研究從探討全球環境議題及未來永續建築的方向,並分析國際上針對環境議題所延伸之概念性建築設計,接著挖掘新科技在建築應用上的可能性,最後將實際操作設計以提出應對極端環境的建築設計,也盡力爭取國際設計競賽的獎項,希望以此增加曝光度讓公眾和掌權者能夠共同來反思及正視全球需面臨的重大環境議題。
Since the Industrial Age, global climate change and environmental crises have been increasingly pronounced. Anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation, in combination with other natural variables, have caused a ripple effect, leading to sweltering summers and delayed winters in many areas. Droughts and floods have ravaged countless homes, followed by widespread forest fires, intensified desertification, and abnormal warming and acidification of the seas, threatening both human lives and economies while accelerating the collapse of natural ecosystems.
However, buildings are massive structures dotting the earth's surface as a demonstration of our technological capabilities and a means to extend our economic and safety needs. Ranging in scale from independent villas and small communities to densely populated cities and other infrastructures, their robust construction and use exert various environmental pressures. Therefore, many architects and related professionals are intensifying their efforts to improve their designs' sustainability and environmental friendliness.
This study discusses global environmental issues and the direction of sustainable architecture in the future. It analyzes conceptual architectural designs developed internationally in response to environmental problems. Then it explores the potential applications of new technology in architecture. Finally, the study proposes practical design solutions to address extreme environmental conditions. By striving to win awards in international design competitions, it aims to raise public exposure, encouraging the public and policymakers alike to reflect on and confront global environmental issues.
