當蘋果公司發表第一部平板電腦iPad後，到目前為止都是最熱銷的平板電腦，探究其原因除了在於它的輕巧、亮麗的外型以及容易使用，使用者不用長時間的學習如何去使用，最重要的就是整合蘋果公司的App Store （應用程式商店），蘋果公司與應用程式開發者共同合作，建立起大量的應用程式市場，滿足了許多消費者各式各樣的應用需求，也因此應用程式是影響平板電腦成功最重要的要素之一。

而新聞閱讀軟體是使用者最常使用的應用程式之一，有別於在手機上受限於螢幕大小的影響，使用者不僅得受限於文字大小還有資訊呈現的方式，就只能進行簡單的新聞閱讀而已。然而在平板電腦上，由於螢幕尺寸的增大，使得新聞閱讀軟體可以呈現更多更豐富的內容，也不用再怕字體太小或是介面單調。因此新聞閱讀不僅在資訊來源的多寡重要外，還有在於介面如何讓使用者可以有不同的使用方式去享受閱讀。介面是每個應用程式面對使用者的第一印象，也是讓使用者是否持續使用這個軟體的重要因素。

本研究運用分析層級程序法（AHP），建構出適合於iPad上的新聞應用程式介面設計的遴選模式，透過相關文獻與資料，歸納出三個主要準則，分別為介面風格、簡易性與流程順暢，以及其下一階之9個要素。再針對專家與一般使用者問卷調查，歸納出各準則與要素間的權重高低，以供設計相關應用程式介面時之參考。

In addition to exploring the reasons is that it is lightweight, beautiful appearance and easy to use, users do not have time to learn how to use. The most important is the integration of Apple's app Store. Apple and application developers work together to build a large number of applications market to meet the needs of many consumers a wide range of applications. Therefore, applications that affect the success tablet one of the most important elements.
News Reader software is the user one of the most used applications. Users limited by the size of the text there is information showing the way. Users can only perform simple news reader. However, on a tablet, with large screen. Users can read more contents. Therefore, interface is most important of the apps.
The research is using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) methodology and trying to structure a model to define the key criteria and factors for the iPad news app interface design selection. The data were collected by surveyed experts in the field. The research analysis results show the most important criteria of the iPad news app interface are ranking as interface style, simplicity and smooth flow.
