隨著資通訊科技、物聯網等技術及產業蓬勃發展，電信商推動各種通訊連網技術在更多元垂直領域應用，如智慧交通、醫療、零售、製造等智慧城市應用服務。而在全球邁入後疫情時代更顯得其重要性，未來新一代5G寬頻技術結合智慧城市應用情境，電信商將扮演關鍵要角。
本研究主要針對國內具代表性、且有所經營規模的電信商F公司進行深入探討，針對其應如何發展5G應用策略，規劃建置智慧城市物聯網平台，以及最終落實可商轉服務，並在整體產業環境中獲取競爭利基等研究議題研析。

整體而言，整理本研究幾個研究目的如下：
1. 探討台灣電信業者針對5G智慧城市應用創新發展策略。
2. 探討台灣電信業者發展5G智慧城市應用商業模式的成功關鍵。
3. 探討電信業者未來發展5G服務的可能困境及因應策略。
本研究主要採研究個案研究分析，而經個案公司深度訪談，以及相關文獻資料分析結果，彙整幾項重點總結如下：
1. 電信業者從終端、網路到雲端平台建構物聯網平台，並持續優化作為創新策略發展基礎。
2. 電信業者主要從顧客價值主張、利潤程式、關鍵資源以及關鍵流程等四面向，持續建構可商轉化5G應用平台。
3. 電信業者以智慧城市優先作為5G應用服務範疇，未來以持續整合產官研資源基礎、拓展商轉落地商機為首要。

With the rapidly development of the related technologies of Internet of Things, telecom companies have promoted the various application of communication and networking technologies in more vertical fields, like as smart transportation, medical, retail, manufacturing and other smart city services. It would be more important when the world entering the post-epidemic era. In the future, 5G technologies will be combined with multiple smart city application scenarios, and telecom companies would be the key role.
The research mainly discusses on the domestic telecom company, F company, which has large scale of operation, finding how it will develop 5G application strategies, plan to build a IoT platform for smart city application, implement the commercial services to obtain the competitive niches in the industry. The main purposes of this research are as followings:
1. To explore the innovative development strategies of Taiwanese telecom companies for 5G applications of smart city.
2. To discuss the successful key for 5G smart city application business models of Taiwanese telecom companies.
3. To analyze the possible dilemmas for telecom companies in developing 5G services and how they make the corresponding strategies in the future.
The research mainly uses case study, in-depth interviews and the analysis of relevant literature. It finds several key points are summarized as followings:
1. Telecom companies build the IoT platforms from terminals, networks to cloud platforms, continuing to optimize the platforms as the basis for the development of innovative strategies.
2. Telecom companies continue to construct a commercial 5G application platform mainly from the four aspects, including of customer value proposition, profit program, key resources and key processes.
3. Telecom companies regard 5G application services for smart cities as first priority, and continue to integrate the resource of the government, industries, academia and related research units, to expand the development opportunities in the future.
