目前地面數位電視廣播系統規範，主要可分為ATSC, DVB-T與 ISDB-T 三種。 ATSC主要為美國地區所使用的數位廣播系統，其所使用之調變技術為8-VSB與6MHz的電視頻道。DVB-T則是目前台灣所使用之歐規數位地面廣播之規範，採用COFDM 調變的技術，使用之電視頻寬為 6/7/8 MHz。ISDB-T 主要是日本地區所使用之地面數位廣播系統，其調變方式為COFDM使用於 6MHz 電視頻道頻寬。
目前台灣數位電視系統採用歐規數位地面廣播之規範，所使用的調變參數為6MHz頻寬數位電視地面廣播標準，並採取SFN (Single Frequency Network)單頻網路廣播方式。

本篇論文主要分成幾個部份，首先針對地面數位廣播系統與目前台灣所使用的DVB-T(Digital Video Broadcast - Terrestrial) 廣播技術做描述，其次將對數位電視所使用之影音壓縮協定 MPEG-2做介紹，第三個部份則針對在車用數位電視之設計的部分做說明，最後則是分別在Linux 2.6 kernel與Windows XP 的系統上，整合相關軟體將MPEG-2 Transport Stream在x86平台上作實現。

There are 3 kinds of digital terrestrial television broadcasting technology which includes ATSC, DVB-T and ISDB-T. The purpose of this research is to develop an x86 embedded system using digital TV terrestrial broadcasting (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial; DVB-T) for car TV.
This paper mainly has 4 topics such as what is DVB-T technology, MPEG2 introduction, how to design a DVB-T receiver and how to porting on x86 embedded system.
Finally, we will integrate application program and implement a DVB-T solution for car TV.
