Although many studies have been done by applying Fitts’ Law experiment and modelling, there has been no work that analyzing the existing performance measures together. The aim of this research was to investigate the human performance measures based on Fitts’ Law model adaptations with respect to human performance variability. Fourteen novice participants recruited as the voluntary participants with the average age was 23.86 years (SD = 3.03). The experiment conducted with two type of tasks (distance task and combination task), both dominant and non-dominant hand, and three different pointer speeds by applying one-dimensional discrete pointing task, using an air-mouse as the only pointing device. There were twenty-five performance measures, classified into the speed, accuracy, and the composite group were analyzed in this study. The investigation was mainly based on the mean order result of the pairwise comparison. It resulted the evaluation and recommendations of the performance measures to be used. The result recommends the report of average and coefficient of variation of the movement time, overall error percentage, and the grand throughput. The throughput as a composite performance measure was recommended to be used since the index of performance found to be a speed index of performance and the regression throughput was influenced by the non-zero intercept value in the linear regression equation. It was also strongly recommended to employ the data per trial to perform the linear regression analysis. Finally, the use of process capability was proposed because it might be useful to compliment the report due to its simple calculation and to substitute the report of landing position result.
