The purpose of this research is to better understand the effects commuting have on people’s family satisfaction. On this research commuting is not only defined as moving from one place to another, but as a set of factors around this activity that, once combined, affect how people interact with one another. For this end, 137 white collar workers from Nicaragua and Taiwan were surveyed. Upon analyzing the results, it became clear that despite the different perspectives Nicaraguans and Taiwanese had with relation to their commuting experience, levels of stress family relation, satisfaction, etc. Commuting actually affects their personal lives and their interactions with their beloved ones. This research could serve as a base for future research on this issue.
