  • The trend of franchise business has been a globally significant business model in many industries, as a risk-reduction strategy of franchise, the ready-made business is provided by franchisor who arranges the franchise expansion through the standard operating procedure as an agreement between franchisor and franchisee. Since Thailand is a country where rich in raw materials with abundant natural resources, leading to being famous for the tourism industry in terms of food and attraction. Food and restaurant franchises have passionately become one of the fastest-growing businesses, eventually inspiring a great number of franchise businesses in Thailand, furthermore, there remains room for franchise growth amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    The purpose of this research is to explore and analyze on business strategy of Japanese restaurant franchise in Thailand through the in-depth interview in terms of the company’s background and managerial decision, the business strategy, the problem, and challenge as well as future plan according to a case study of 70th Sushimai Japanese Restaurant Franchise in Suratthani Province in Thailand.
