本論文旨在研製以DSP 控制達成雙模式(Dual-Mode)升壓型主動式功
率因數修正器,利用計算輸出功率,使電路在輕載時工作在臨界導通模式
(Boundary Conduction Mode, BCM),達到當輕載時開關能以較低的電流切
換以減少開關切換損失;當負載較重時則操作於連續電流模式(Continuous
Conduction Mode, CCM),以解決臨界導通模式在重載時開關元件電流應力
較高與導通損耗較大之問題。
本論文先就理想電路分析來說明功率因數修正器電路動作在不同模式
下的優點與缺點,並製作一500W 之升壓型主動式功率因數修正器,比較
電路操作在單一模式(CCM)與雙模式之效率上的差異。實作電路以德州儀
器TMS320X280X 系列的微處理器為控制核心,搭配輔助電路,功率級採用
升壓型轉換器電路架構。經過實驗量測結果證明,負載較輕時操作在BCM
模式下可使輕載效率提高。
This thesis aims to study and implement a DSP-controlled dual-mode
boost-type active power factor corrector (PFC). Through the output power
calculation, the PFC will be operated under the boundary conduction mode
(BCM) at light loads to reduce the switching losses. On the other hand, the PFC
will be operated under the continuous conduction mode (CCM) at the heavy
loads to reduce the device current stresses and thus the conduction loss.
First, the operation principles for an ideal PFC circuit operated under
different modes are discussed. And then the advantages and disadvantages of
the two operation modes are described. A 500-W boost-tpye PFC prototype is
built. Then, the conversion efficiencies for the single-mode (CCM) control and
the dual-mode control are compared. The TMS320X280X-series
microprocessor of Texas is applied as the main controller. The experimental
results prove that the light-load efficiency can be improved when the PFC is
operated under BCM.
