近期雲端運算備受矚目的原因,主要來自於2008年下半年全球歷經金融海嘯
衝擊,使得企業紛紛緊縮IT投資預算並關心未來如何減少IT維護成本。另一方面,智慧型手機、iPhone的應用軟體下載方式,亦使得移動性存取遠端網路服務的議題發燒。至2012年,雲端運算議題則成為最受矚目的話題。
為了瞭解雲端運算市場的趨勢,首先本研究探討雲端服務與雲端運算科技的發展與演進、進一步剖析雲端運算帶來的新生態系統與價值鏈。其後,探討雲端服務與雲端運算科技市場各種產品服務的可能趨勢。最後,綜整雲端運算帶來的挑戰與可能機會。
我國產業多數廠商並不同時兼具軟體及硬體之優勢,因此帶動各廠商均積極透過合作的方式,以達到大量雲端運算需求市場之目標。由於我國ICT 國際競爭力強大,已進一步跨入雲端運算的儲存市場。根據資策會MIC 的統計資料,預估2009 至2013 年之雲端運算服務市場規模年增率將呈現逐季增加的態勢,預估2012 年市場規模年增率為27.60% 。所以我國產業的雲端運算策略應朝資訊軟體服務業者、網路服務營運業者、終端硬體業者與伺服端硬體業者共同合作,將策略重點放在創新服務、軟體服務與硬體整合、產業別利基產品服務展以及服務治理深化等方向。
根據個案研究。本研究擬定我國業者可行競爭策略部份如下:
一、企業競爭優勢
競爭優勢是工資成本較低、有彈性、成本管控且能迅速提供技術支援服務,而不如對手之處則為核心關鍵技術、專業知識等較國外廠商弱。
二、核心資源與能力
重要的資源及資源具有之特性包括:研發能力、價格低、彈性大、反應快及配合度良好等。而核心競爭力為靈活及彈性的供應鏈整合、成本管控及快速技術支援服務等。
三、探討我國業者可行競爭策略
適合追求的策略多半圍繞在速度、成本及品質上,即:具低成本、高品質且具速度之差異化策略。
There has been an increasing attention on cloud computing recently in the second half of 2008 all over the world due to the financial tsunami that has forced businesses to tighten the investment budget on IT and reduce the cost on IT maintenance. In addition, the software downloading from smart phone and iPhone has put the spotlight on the portable and remote internet service. Since 2012, cloud computing has been in the limelight of the world.
To learn the trend of cloud computing market, the study firstly discussed the development, history of cloud computing services and cloud computing technology and further analyzed the new ecological system and value chain from cloud computing. Later, it discussed the potential trend of cloud service and products in cloud computing market and lastly sum up the challenge and opportunities in the face of cloud computing.
Many manufactures in Taiwan IT industry do not have the advantage of being competitive in both software and hardware; as a result, they seek any opportunity for cooperation to meet the demands of cloud computing market. Since Taiwanese’s ICA industry is competitive, Taiwan is mature enough for entering cloud computing market. According to the report conducted by Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute of the Institute for Information Industry, the cloud computing market scale is expected to go up quarterly from 2009 to 2013 and the annual growth rate in 2012 is expected to be 27.60%. The cloud computing of Taiwan IT industry should focus on how to collaborate with IT software or service providers, network service operators, terminal device and server venders. It should focus on four directions, innovation service, integration of service, software and hardware, niche product in specific industry and service governance.
According to the result of the case studies, the following strategies are initiated for Taiwan’s IT industry:
I.The competiveness of industry
Industries in Taiwan have competitiveness in low pay, flexibility, cost control and prompt technique support while the competitors possess core technique and professional knowledge.
II.Core resource and ability
The key resource and its features include the ability to research and develop low
cost, high flexibility, quick response and being cooperative and so on. The
core competitiveness includes the flexible integration of supply chain, cost control and quick technique support.
III.Discussions on the feasible strategies for industries in Taiwan
The suitable strategies are focused more on speed, cost and quality which means we should manufacture the products with lost cost, high quality and differentiation in speed.
