Baozi Company was founded 50 years ago. Since its founding, the company has experienced various challenges.
In the past few years, the challenges of new entrants, suppliers and customers are the greatest.
In the beginning, most Baozi manufacturing companies are small businesses that are family-owned, heavily reliant on skilled craftsmanship, and labor intensive. It was day and night hard work, 300 days a year.
With the advancement of science and technology, changes in lifestyle, more educated population, the decline in birth rate, and an aging population, there is a growing shortage of manpower, hence making it difficult to train new apprentices in this trade.
In the early days, raw materials were purchased in small quantities and the source of goods was unstable. The customer base is relatively simple, just the consumers: students, workers and office workers from the neighbourhood.
In order to meet the challenge, the company adjusted its production scale, promoted mechanization, reduced costs, institutionalized management, independent management of the factory (including improving employee knowledge and meeting future needs), new product and production development, and brand building, etc.
