近年來，隨著科技的發達和全球化的結果，國際間統包工程的競爭愈趨激烈，統包工程廠商所面臨的挑戰更為嚴苛。除了價格要有競爭，工期長短的考量往往也是業主選擇統包工程廠商的重要考量之一，原本設計、採購、建造的依序工法，不僅很多項目已改成平行化作業，個別的作業時間也受到了壓縮。廠商設備、材料的交貨品質及約定時程的履行與否往往成為工程成敗的主要原因。因此選商的優劣與否相對顯得重要。
本研究試著探討個案公司現行的採購選商作業流程，希望藉由訪談設計、建造、專案管理的部門主管，從這幾個與專案採購執行最密切的單位，了解其對於採購選商作業關切的重點，進而歸納整理相關的問題，提出因應的建議作法供個案公司參考。利害關係人的管理，適時介入相關流程的決策，使選商作業更有效率；而專案的溝通協調與跨部門的合作也是本研究的重點。藉由此綜效的發揮，選商的作業時程依照類別的不同約可減少1-2週的時間，同時透過供應鏈效能的提升，廠商的優劣更在一開始詢價就分享了相關的訊息，避免日後的重覆作業，因而提高了個案公司的競爭力。

In recent years, accompanied with new technology and the result of globalization, the competition of international EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) market is increasingly intense and EPC contractors are facing more severe business conditions. Except attractive price, the short duration proposed is also one of client’s most concerns to select the EPC contractor. Some original working sequences of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction are modified to proceed in parallel and the individual schedule is forced To-Be squeezed. The quality and on time delivery of equipments and materials assured by vendors are the main factors of the success of EPC projects. Thus, the quality of vendor selection is relatively important.
This research tries to study the current process of vendor selection in C company. It hopes to understand and collect what are the concerns from the related departments through the interview of the department heads of Engineering, Contruction and Project Management. Propose the countermeasures to improve the process followingly for reference. This study focuses on the management of stakeholders to intervene the decision making timely and efficiently. Project communication and coordination and cross-sectoral cooperation are the key points of this case study. By these synergies play, the process may save one or two weeks per different categories and the recycled work could be avoided also due to the sharing of vendor information in the beginning upon the function improvement of supply chain. Finally the competitiveness of C company in EPC business will get better.
