Technology changes people life. People behavior also change depend on technology. The IoT (Internet of Things) is one of the best real case. The IoT create a lot of possibility as well as create huge demand for server. Today, most of people can not live without internet. Thus, CSP (Cloud Service Provider) business growth up rapidly. Such as AWS, Google, Facebook, Microsoft…etc. Not only CSP but the others cloud service company increase investment on server product. In the past few years, the server industry became more and more competition. The enterprise has to find out internal resource carefully and establish a modularize system in order to enhance agility and fulfill customer requirement quickly.
The RBV (Resource-Based View) theory is assume the enterprise is a collection of resources. The enterprise always assume resource is limited, so the use of resource must be aligned with strategic goals. The enterprise can continuous keep advantages and differentiation in order to sustainable competitive.
According to strategy of modular management, the enterprise will have better product flexibility and fulfill client’s requirement quickly. The modularize design can help enterprise saving engineer resource as well as reduce waste. Therefore, enterprise organization will provide greater agility and continuously enhance competitiveness.
This thesis is based on theory of RBV to development a R&D modularity integration platform. To provide enterprise go through practice of modularity to increase flexibility of organization as well as enhance R&D efficiency. Hence, enterprise always can make quick response for dynamic business environment.
To expect this case study can provide a reference of modularity platform for the enterprise.
