With a convenient location, potential and prospects, Baclieu City plays an increasingly important role in the economic development of the Southern Vietnam. However, Baclieu City has faced many challenges including Human resource development which is one of the most difficult issues in many discussions. Baclieu City has many benefits from nature: having rainy and dry seasons for developed agriculture, having 54km length of coast for enhanced fishery but there is a huge lack of human resource in agriculture and fishery.
Based on Human Resource Analyze this study is to identify the mismatch between labor demand and skill supply via the results of a survey of companies and Baclieu University in Baclieu City, and to provide a solid foundation for establishing an appropriate curriculum to match the actual requirements of the business community and regional development. In this respect, the survey results highlight the challenges which Baclieu University has been facing in reducing the gap between demand and supply of skilled labor, so that it can promote the role as a provider of skilled human resources to support the development of this area in the future. Finally, the study offers some recommendations for a wider range of measures of human resources development. These issues include investing in improvement and upgrading the quality of education and training in Baclieu University, which is like the necessary preparation to meet the growing demand of skilled labor in quantity and quality.
