人工智慧對科技的衝擊證明了Andreessen, M. (2011)的預測「為何軟體即將吞噬世界」(Why Software is Eating the World),只是現在更精準的說法應該是「自由及開源軟體即將吞噬軟體世界」。以自由及開源軟體為商業模式的新創公司在過去5年家數迅速增加,這是因為近幾年發展的雲端運算環境帶動自由及開源軟體的整個商業模式,讓Google, Microsoft, Red Hat, IBM, Amazon等大廠都投入大量的人力與精力在自由及開源軟體的新創專案中,從這些趨勢看來,未來自由及開源軟體的發展肯定會越加蓬勃。
證券期貨業在日趨嚴峻的電子交易市場上目前僅能透過加強投入資訊系統的創新與應用來提升競爭力,在自由及開源軟體已受各大軟體廠商的擁抱並成為雲端服務平台上的主要應用後,需要重度依賴資訊科技發展的證券期貨業更應該及早評估了解自由及開源軟體在其企業中可供應用的方向與效益。由於自由及開源軟體的應用範圍寬廣,本論文首先從資訊基礎架構的作業系統及虛擬化平台延伸到網路管理及資訊安全相關應用軟體來進行評估,期望能將歸納評估出的觀點與注意事項及應用導入自由及開源軟體後可能產生的效益提供給大家參考。
The impact of artificial intelligence on technology is proving Marc Andreessen's 2011 prediction, "Software is eating the world", but now the more accurate statement should be "Free and open source software is eating the software world.". The number of startups with free and open source software as their business model has increased rapidly in the past five years. This is because the cloud computing environment developed in recent years has driven the entire business model of free and open source software. The big companies, Google, Microsoft, Red Hat, IBM and Amazon have invested a lot of manpower and energy in the new free and open source projects. From this trend, the development of free and open source software will definitely be more vigorous in the future.
In the increasingly competitive trading market, the securities and futures industry can only enhance its competitiveness by strengthening the innovation and application of information systems. After the free and open source software was embraced by major software vendors and became the main application of the cloud platform, it became heavily reliable on the securities and futures industry of information. Technology development should assess the direction and benefits that free and open source software can be applied in its enterprises. This paper is extended from the operating system of information infrastructure and virtualization platform to network management and information security related applications. It is expected to provide a reference for the conclusions and benefits of the inductive assessment.
