雲端服務技術隨著全球網際網路上的各種創新應用服務發展已漸趨成熟,企業用戶也逐漸認同雲端服務商業應用模式,並逐步將企業自行建置的運算、儲存、資料庫、資料分析、應用服務等資源移往雲端服務運營商(Cloud Service Provider),全球超過千萬個用戶目前仰賴其快速部署、降低成本等服務特性,讓台灣市場之企業客戶更加相信資訊服務雲端化是未來重要趨勢。
本論文之個案公司-擎昊科技股份有限公司為資訊服務業中之系統整合商(System Integrators),與雲端服務同屬於資訊服務產業,但雲端服務為顛覆市場的創新者,其鼓勵終端客戶將IT(Information Technology)資源移往雲端並以服務導向模式顛覆著市場,而個案公司所屬的系統整合業,其主力為設備銷售並以產品導向模式固守市場,雲端服務與系統整合兩者的客群市場相同,但同時具有競合之商業生態關係,外部商業環境衝擊與科技快速轉變在在考驗著個案公司過去所累積的資源基礎與高階經營層級的策略更新能力,正如站在抉擇的分叉路口,是繼續在原有市場向下紮根抑或是發展新事業體以開拓生機?
本論文採用哈佛式教學個案撰寫法,包含個案本文和教師教學指導手冊兩部分,透過本論文,經由個案中情境,分析其所掌握的資訊,藉此培養公司管理者之決策思維,能從個案公司及個案角色中獲得不同角度的啟發,以增加思考的層面,確保決策的執行成效。


Cloud service technology has been matured with the development of various innovative application services on the global Internet. Enterprise users are increasingly recognizing the cloud business model, and gradually move the resources of computing, storage, database, data analysis, application etc. built by the enterprise to cloud service provider. More than 10 million global users depend on its features such as rapid deployment and cost reduction, which is convincing enterprise users of Taiwan that cloud-based information services will be a major market trend in the future.
In this case study, Kinmax Technology Inc., is a system integrator same as cloud service, both belong to the information services industry. The cloud services are disruptive innovators, they encourage end users to move their owned IT (Information Technology) resources to the cloud services and disrupt the market with a service-oriented model, and the system integrator mainly focuses on equipment sales and adheres to the market in a product-oriented model. Cloud services provider and system integrator have same customer segment, both parties existed coopetition (cooperative competition) relationship in business ecosystems. The impact of external business environment and rapid changes in information technology, continuously challenge the accumulated resource base of case company and the ability to strategy renewal of the high-level management. Just like standing at the crossroads of choices, should we continue to take root in the existing market or develop new businesses to survive in adversity?
This paper adopts the Harvard Business case method, which consists of two parts: the case scenario and teaching material. Through this case study, a teaching approach uses decision-forcing cases to put students in the role of people who were facing with difficult decisions to analyze the information and situation, and also practice critical thinking with different perspectives for ensuring decision implementation with performance.
