本研究係以聚乙二醇(Polyethylene glycol)及多碳醇為原料合成一系列醚基連接型界面活性劑,產物內容包含二類界面活性劑,其中一類為一般非離子型界面活性劑之構造(A系列),另一類為Gemini型構造之非離子界面活性劑(B系列)。合成方法係先將多碳醇與環氧氯丙烷反應得到烷基環氧丙基醚,再將其與聚乙二醇反應,反應後純化可得一系列醚基連接型Gemini界面活性劑。
合成之產物利用紅外線光譜分析(FT-IR)、核磁共振光譜分析(1H-NMR)確認其分子結構。並測試其界面性質包括表面張力、接觸角、起泡性、乳化能力、螢光性質及Zeta電位等。經由測試結果顯示,此一系列新型的界面活性劑具有良好的界面性質,包括降低表面張力能力、良好的濕潤性、低起泡性及乳化安定性等。在應用上,一系列界面活性劑可與染料形成複合體而使染料分散。A、B兩系列界面活性劑相較,B系列為Gemini型構造,較一般傳統界面活性劑具較佳之界面性質。
In this study, a series of Ether-Linked Surfactants were prepared by the reaction of combining polyethylene glycol (PEG) and long-chain alcohol. One of these ether-linked surfactants is nonionic surfactants (type A), and the other is nonionic-related Gemini surfactants (type B). The Ether-Linked Gemini surfactants were prepared by the reaction and purification of alkylglycidyl, which were first prepared by the reaction of long-chain alcohol with epichlorohydrin, and polyethylene glycol (PEG, Mw=400).
The structure of these newly prepared surfactants has been confirmed by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. In addition, its surface activities were evaluated through surface tension, contact angel, foaming properties, emulsification ability, fluorescence properties, and Zeta potential tests. The experimental result shows that these surfactants exhibit excellent surface activities including surface tension, wetting power, low-foaming, and emulsification stabilized. In application, the complex, which was formed by a series of surfactants and dyes, could cause dyes dispersed. By comparing type A surfactants to type B surfactants, surface activity of type B surfactants which has Gemini structure was found better than traditional surfactants.
