在全球化的多元競爭環境下，不論是國家亦或是金融、資訊、工商等各產業，皆可藉由良好的專案管理來將其經營發展的策略發揮至最大效益。而專案管理人員或專案經理的專業知識及素養則對專案的成功與否具有關鍵的影響。
為了使專案管理人員有統一的標準及資格的認證，專案管理師證照因此因應而生。本研究所指之專案管理師證照(Project Management Professional，簡稱PMP) ，是由美國專案管理學會(Project Management Institute，PMI) 組織於1984年起，對專案管理從業人員所進行的一項專案管理領域的資格認證，並期望證照持有者在取得證照後，能持續的發展專業知識與技能，為專案提供國際的共同標準及客觀的衡量。近三年每年全球約有7萬多人取得專案管理師證照，且每年持照人數仍呈上升趨勢，專案管理師證照無疑是全球最熱門的管理證照之一。
本研究以文獻分析法及問卷調查法歸納探討在台灣取得專案管理師證照對個人職涯發展的助益及對組織的價值，研究結果得知，取得專案管理師證照不論對於個人內在主觀的職涯發展，包括增加成就感、滿足求知慾、增進專業管理知識、自我專案管理能力的肯定，以及外在客觀的職涯發展，包括提升可信度、提升專案工作績效、提升工作保障、求職或轉職有較多的優勢和機會等等皆有助益。期望透過本研究能讓國內各界有志考取專案管理證照人士、學校及組織、專案管理教育機構及發證機構作為參考。

In the environment with diversified competitions from all over the world, nations, industries, such as the financial industry and the information industry, and businesses can all make the best of their operating and development strategies with good project management. And the key to the success of a project is the professional knowledge and literacy of the project management personnel or the project manager.
Project Management certifications have been developed in order to provide unified standards and quality authentication for project management personnel. The project manager certification discussed in this study is the PMP certification, developed by the PMI in the US in 1984. In hopes that certified professionals can continue to make improvements in their professional knowledge and skills, the Institute decided to offer a standard and objective measurement for project management. In the recent 3 years, there have been over 70,000 people obtaining the PMP certification around the world. The number of certified professionals per year has been climbing. There is no doubt that PMP certification is one of the most popular global management certifications.
This study aimed to explore the positive effects of obtaining the PMP certification on an individual’s career development and the values to the organization in Taiwan. Research methods include literature analysis and questionnaire survey. According to the research findings, obtaining the PMP certification helps with the internal subjective career development, through increasing the sense of accomplishment, meeting the desire for knowledge, increasing professional management knowledge, and self-recognition of project management capability, as well as the external objective career development, through improving credibility, improving project performance, improving job protection, increasing advantages and opportunities in job application or job transfer. Hope that this study can be a reference for people from different fields in Taiwan who aim to obtain a project management certification, schools, organizations, project management educational institutions, and issuing organizations.
