企業在不同的發展階段面臨著經營環境不斷的改變,如何能持續的追求成長與獲利即成為企業決策的重心。企業獲利的變異主要是受到產業的競爭,廠商間的競爭或策略群組所影響逐成為近年來策略學者所關心的議題。本研究從企業生命週期的觀點,探討在不同的發展階段,產業效果、廠商效果與策略群組效果,其對廠商獲利的影響有何不同?而企業的國際化策略與多角化策略在企業哪個階段扮演較重要的角色?多角化策略與國際化策略是對處於成長期的企業扮演重要的角色還是對成熟期的企業影響較重要?本研究透過生命週期的區分與階層線性模型(Hierarchical Linear Model, HLM)的運用,所得的實證結果能提供企業在資源的配置上的效率性與在經營策略上的適當性。研究結果在不區分企業生命週期下支持資源基礎說理論;成長期廠商顯示出產業間績效存在顯著差異;成熟期廠商在短期績效下產業間存在顯著差異,但以長期績效來看廠商、策略群組與產業存在顯著差異,其中由以廠商效果最高。


How to keep growing and enhance the profitability, when facing the continually changing management environment in different development stages, have become the priorities of the business decision. The profitability of firms will be influenced by the competition among industry, competition between firms or strategic groups also an important issue came into strategy scholars notice in recent years. This study investigates the differences between the explanatory power of industry effect, firm effect and strategic groups effect on the performance of the firm can play more important role, and whether firms would adopt diversification strategy or use international strategy at growth and maturity stage through different corporate lifecycle stages and Hierarchical Linear Model( HLM), the empirical result of this research can provide the efficiency of resource allocation and applicability for operation strategy for business firms. In sum, the results support resource based theorem at don’t distinguish corporate lifecycle, there is different performance among industry at growth stage, and maturity stage shows there is difference profitability among industry, strategic groups and firms.
