近十年來瓦斯公司陸續採用地理資訊系統為平台來建置瓦斯業地下管線資訊系統，但因為涉及組織的管理流程改善、人員訓練及與現有MIS相關軟硬體的整合，都必須投入龐大的有形、無形成本來維運。
同時政府因公共安全的考量亦對地下管線資訊系統要求甚高，年年於瓦斯公司業務督導時查核地下管線資訊系統建置進度、功能呈現及使用現況，故如何有效率地維運系統亦成為重要的議題。
而本研究主要參考DeLone 與McLean資訊系統成功模式（2003）之六構面（系統品質、資訊品質、服務品質、使用/使用意願、使用者滿意度、淨利益）為理論基礎，利用專家深度訪談與文獻整理的方式，選擇三家瓦斯公司其導入多年且架構完整運作正常的地下管線資訊系統為對象，探討資訊系統成功模式是否適用於瓦斯業地下管線資訊系統，及資訊系統成功模式的六構面在此類系統執行的具體化策略為何。
本研究成果提出DeLone 與McLean資訊系統成功模式可以適用於瓦斯業地下管線資訊系統，且此三家系統經長期使用且正常發展狀況下，到最後其六構面的內容會趨向相同的結果，而六構面中以資訊品質構面最為重要，也是需要投入最多資源才能完成。

In the nearest decade, the public gas utilities have been constructing the gas underground pipeline information system by using the GIS as a platform. Uncountable investment must be put into this because of the organization’s operation process rebuilding, employee training, and the integration between the new hardware, software and the original MIS.
In the meantime, since the Government consider the underground pipeline information system a very serious business, the standard of the supervision about system’s construction schedule, functions and utilization status is getting higher and higher year by year. Consequently, it has become a very important issue that how to run and maintain the system efficiently.
The basic theory of the research are mainly from the six success dimensions which are system quality, information quality, service quality, use/intention to use, user satisfaction and net profits by DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model.
There are three gas companies’ underground pipeline information systems being framed and run so well had been the objects of this research. With expert in-depth interviews and literatures, this research try to find out if the Information Systems Success Model are suitable for the gas companies or not? Besides that, what the executable strategies would be?
The conclusion of this research states that DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model are suitable for the gas companies’ underground pipeline information systems. If only the three gas companies have been running the system well and being under a normal situation, the result shows that their six success dimensions will be the same in the long run. And, the information quality is the most important one which needs to be invested resources mostly.
