價值創新是企業管理領域的一門重要議題,也是企業維持競爭優勢的重要工具之一,營建業以往被稱為火車頭工業,主因是營建業為資金及勞力密集的產業,也是國家經濟發展的重要指標,營建工程的特性多為因應標地物所在的土地使用區分及業主設計需求訂製,無法像工廠生產線流程製造,所以每一個成品都是客製化的產物,也考驗營造業技術與應變能力,所以如何讓大部分的設計,能結合營造廠的施工技術與經驗,來達到一定水準也是一門重要的課題,以往營建業通常是設計先行,而後再由營造廠依設計圖面施工,但這樣的結果最後大多導致設計理想與實際施工可行性衝突,或是與未來使用者的便利性衝突,亦或導致成本控制難度增加,因此利用創新的管理技術,於營造投標時,以投標即得標的精神進行施工檢討,提前發現衝突的可能性,並提出創新技術進行整合及解決,防範於未然。在研究個案中,營造團隊、建設團隊及日本顧問多次於關鍵課題提出有價值的創新工法,並有效整合相關資源,使得研究個案在區域中成為標的建物。建設公司也因本案的成功打出品牌,在後續推案無論是價格及價值均有大幅成長,營造廠商也因複製研究個案的成功因子,在後續的工程承攬跨出了價格廝殺的紅海,進入與業主共享利潤的藍海。

Value innovation is one of the key topic within business management and at the same time a key strategy of how businesses maintain their sustainable competitive advantage. Construction business has always been referred as locomotive business because it is a business with large amount of funding and intensive labor and also a key indicator to a country’s economic growth.
The construction business has multiple attitude due to the way of how land can be utilized and designed is often customized hence will not be replicable like any factory made goods. All finished pieces are personalized. The personalization requires the skills and resilience of technician, whether or not if the technicians and designers can combine their experience and skills to deliver is also another key value of why construction business is so important.
Normally, in the construction business, the designer will do their part first and then will leave the construction company to do its part. However, this often resulted in the multiple potential conflicts such as the design is not applicable, not convenient, or the cost could be way over budget. By implementing innovative management skills, through the bidding process, with the spirit of finishing every single cases with the highest standard, once the construction company wins the case, the construction be done as the same time as the design. This will help to discover and prevent the conflict and able to come up with innovative technology to fix the issues. While studying the case study, because the construction company, building company and Japanese consulting team understands the value of innovation, and able to combine resource efficiently, this help the case to win the deal. The construction company is able to build a reputation and built is own brand. This helps the construction company to be able to increase its value and also its pricing. Building company also copy the strategy later and become successful in future cases and be able to gain profits
