This paper examines the impact of foreign ownership and corporate governance on corporate performance in the listed electronics industry in Taiwan for a period of ten years, from 2013 to 2022. Firm performance has been measured using accounting-based measure Return on Assets (ROA) and market-based measure Tobin's Q. Foreign ownership is measured by the percentage of a company’s shares held by foreign investors, and corporate governance is measured by variables which include board size, CEO duality, and the proportion of independent directors. Multiple regression analysis is used as the research method, and the empirical results indicate that foreign ownership and corporate governance positively and significantly affect firm performance in the long run for listed electronics companies in Taiwan.
