建築立面設計是建築師展現建築物特色的方法之一,隨材料工法的日新月異,使建築師能在建築造型上追求更突出的表現,因此立面單元造型也越來越 ”複雜多變”造就建築成本越加的高昂。
透過文獻探討研究Truchet tiling圖樣,了解各式平鋪系統的發展脈絡與基礎知識,並找出Truchet tiling圖樣的組成條件、拼貼原理與方法,藉此發展提出最簡易繪製Truchet tiling圖案的設計架構。
從Truchet tiling 2D圖樣至2.5D的產品化,使產品單元能拼出多樣的平鋪造型變化,並編寫簡易的Grasshopper參數化程式輔助系統單元隨機拼貼,提供設計者能簡便的找到最佳圖樣設計,發展出可用於建築立面的簡變平鋪造型系統,透過量產單一造型單元解決上述建築立面造價高昂問題同時擁有多變的造型樣態。
再後續的實際操作與應用上,依文獻中實際案例,找到適合的材料:高性能混凝土UHPC來製作出高鏤空率的Truchet tiling小型單元並提出創新無金屬構件的組裝方式;另一項案例則是直橫料帷幕系統工法結合輕量化ABS材料用於大樓表皮更新,以此兩種不同大小尺度的方向進行實作,操作過程並探討簡變單元平鋪系統的實用性,使研究的目標更能貼近實際工程的需要,找出更貼近產業的Truchet tiling設計與應用完成此次的簡變平鋪造型系統研究論文。
Architectural facade design is one of the ways for architects to show the characteristics of a building. With the rapid developments of materials and construction methods, architects are pursuing more visually orientated architectural forms. Resulting in more “unique and intricate" facade units that drives up the construction costs.
Through literature research, the following are studied: basic knowledge, development and tiling principle of Truchet patterns. This allowed for the development and proposal of a highly simplified design framework for designing Truchet tiling patterns.
A Grasshopper program is used to parametrically present controlled randomized tiling combinations of a single unit, enabling designers to easily find the desired pattern design. This 2.5D solution can be commercialized for building facades. A single unit can be mass produces to produce unique and intricate building facades, thus solving the above-mentioned construction cost.
In the follow-up of actual operation and application, according to the actual case in the literature, find a suitable material: high-performance concrete UHPC to make a Truchet tiling small unit with a high hollow rate and propose an innovative assembly method without metal components; Another case is the construction method of vertical and horizontal material curtain system combined with lightweight ABS material to update the building skin. Using these two units of different sizes and proportions for implementation, the operation process and the practicality of the simplified unit tiling system are discussed, so that the research goals can be closer to the actual engineering needs, Find the Truchet tiling design and application closer to the industry to complete this research paper on the simplified tiling modeling system.
