  • 本論文探討將IEEE 802.16網路群播串流視訊服務,於NS-2網路模擬器進行即時仿真時所會遭遇的實作問題,首先針對NS-2傳送單播串流視訊服務所衍生的效能、實體網路與虛擬網路同步、路由與封包回繞(Loopback)等問題,提出了一個簡單架構的解法,再以單播為基礎,延伸出適合群播服務的架構。本平台可以讓研究人員根據串流視訊的影像品質,更精確的評估各種IEEE 802.16網路相關演算法的效能與適用性,此外,也可作為展示演算法成果的工具,對於想要瞭解WiMAX無線網路概念的使用者亦可作為生動有趣的教材。


    In this thesis, it describes the problems we have encountered and the solutions during implementation of NS-2 based real-time emulation for IEEE 802.16 multicast streaming video services. First of all, we address issues such as performance of streaming video transmission, synchronization between live network and simulation network, routing and packet loopback for unicast services. To extend the unicast-based architecture, we provide an architecture for multicast services. The researchers engaged in the related work can accurately evaluate performance and suitability of IEEE 802.16 network algorithms according to image quality of streaming video on our platform. In addition, it can demonstrate the effects of algorithms and become interesting materials for who want to study basic concepts of WiMAX wireless network.
