This is a battle between two companies and competitors in IC packaging field, called "Two Packaging Heroes"; one is the largest IC packaging plant globally, the other one is a IC packaging plant taking the 3rd place globally. President CHANG, CHIEN-SHENG and LIN, WENG-BO lead their companies in somewhat different styles, where President Chang of ADVANCED SEMICONDUCTOR ENGINEERING, INC. (ASE) has ever intended to merge and acquire Silicon ware Precision Industries Co., Ltd. (SPIL) and faced with President LIN's tenacious work, led to a fierce battle, and will SPIL's strategy in face of such hostility in the M&A plan benefit its future development at a long-term basis? Is the white knight sought to fight against ASE a real knight? For what element threatening Taiwan's semiconductor industry which forced ASE to stick to the M&A Plan?
As a M&A pro in IC packaging field, President CHANG, CHIEIN-SHENG of ASE initiated an unusual strategy against GO pro, President LIN, WENG-BO of SPIL, who resolved to go for a take-over bid in 24.99% of SPIL's equity, followed by 24.71%, at last, taking 100% control over SPIL.
