本研究旨在瞭解臺灣科技大學無障礙設施與設備之設置情況，探討該校園之無障礙設施不符合率以及不符合之處，以臺灣科技大學校園中之24棟建築物為研究對象，並利用政府所公告之法規與無障礙設施檢查不合格改善竣工檢核表，作為調查時之依據，且透過實地調查、拍照、測量等方式作記錄，爾後進行統整分析，其檢核無障礙設施之項目包含室外通路、避難層坡道及扶手、避難層出入口、室內出入口、室內通路走廊、樓梯、昇降設備、廁所盥洗室、浴室、輪椅觀眾席位、停車空間等11項，另外，將無障礙設施項目依功能性分為移動性與使用性兩種，而無障礙設施之檢核項目依特性分為標示性、可及性、方便性、安全性四種，其檢核結果反應校園在功能性與特性上需注意之處。
經統整分析後，臺灣科技大學無障礙設施與設備之研究結果如下:
一、從各使用類型之建築物無障礙設施整體不合格率來看，體育館、第一學生餐廳、游泳池、視聽館、第三教學大樓、郵局、第二學生宿舍等7棟建築物，在無障礙設施與設備的設置狀況較為不佳。
二、從無障礙設施項目之不符合項目來看，引導標誌、警示設施、門把、突出物限制、坡道扶手高度、無障礙標誌等6個項目，在設置時較為容易被忽略。
三、從無障礙設施與設備之功能性與特性來看，移動性與使用性之功能、無障礙設施原則之標示性、可及性、方便性、安全性方面皆有需要做改善之處。
四、臺灣科技大學之無障礙設施與設備仍有需要再作改善。

This study aims to understand the setting status of barrier-free facilities and equipment Taiwan University of Science and Technology，taking 24 buildings on the campus of Taiwan University of Science and Technology as research objects, and use the regulations announced by the government and the unqualified barrier-free facility inspection to improve the completion checklist, as a basis for investigation, and make records through field surveys, photographs, measurements, etc. then conduct a comprehensive analysis. The items for checking barrier-free facilities include Outdoor access, Refuge layer ramp and handrail, Refuge import and export, Indoor import and export, Indoor access corridor, stairs, Elevator equipment, Accessible toilets, Accessible bathroom, Wheelchair audience seats, Parking space, a total of 11 projects. In addition, the barrier-free facilities project is divided into two types according to functionality: mobility and usability. The inspection items of barrier-free facilities are divided into four types according to their characteristics: indicative, accessibility, convenience, safety. The results of the inspection reflect the places that the campus needs to pay attention to in terms of functionality and characteristics.
After a comprehensive analysis, the research results of barrier-free facilities and equipment at Taiwan University of Science and Technology are as follows:
1.Judging from the overall Unqualified rate of barrier-free facilities in buildings of various usage types, the 7 buildings including gymnasium, first student restaurant, swimming pool, audio-visual hall, third teaching building, post office, second student dormitory are not in good condition for the installation of barrier-free facilities and equipment.
2.From the point of view of non-compliant items of barrier-free facilities, six items, such as guide signs, warning facilities, door handles, protrusion restrictions, ramp handrail heights, and barrier-free signs, are relatively easy to ignore when they are set up.
3.From the perspective of the functionality and characteristics of barrier-free facilities and equipment, the mobility and usability function of barrier-free facilities, as well as the indicative, accessibility, convenience, safety of the barrier-free facilities principles, all need to be improved.
4. The barrier-free facilities and equipment of Taiwan University of Science and Technology still need to be improved.
