  • It’s important to improve innovation in Mongolian manufacturing industry, especially at the individual level, which was recognized as a missing factor in the industry. Therefore, the research goal was to define the current situation of manager’ innovation approaches in Mongolian manufacturing industry and develop a policy recommendation on improving it. The descriptive research methodology was used for this study and a survey was administered to a selected sample of 140 managers from Mongolian manufacturing industry.
    The research results indicated that Mongolian managers’ innovativeness, of the manufacturing industry, was not that high, which was around medium level. Moreover, the managers’ exploitation activities were higher than their exploration activities in the industry. To remain successful over long periods, managers and organizations must be able to implement both incremental and revolutionary change. Therefore, based on the research findings, policy recommendations were developed. It’s important to improve managers’ innovativeness in Mongolian manufacturing industry.
