  • 平面顯示器產業是一個動態連續發展的產業,在大量的研發投入下,新技術不斷地產生。近年來,以具有輕薄、易攜帶、成本低及環保等特性的可撓式顯示技術最受市場的期待與關注。其具發展潛力的市場吸引了全球許多的公司與研究單位投入此新世代顯示技術的開發,希望能夠取得新技術的優先地位,掌握市場先機。但目前可撓式顯示技術呈現多元發展,相關單位在決定投資標的時容易失焦,故本研究透過技術預測來分析該技術領域的發展現況並依循歷史資料來找出其未來發展脈絡,以提供相關資訊予對該技術領域有興趣的單位來參考,協助其決策的進行。
    本研究以美國專利資料庫之可撓式顯示技術相關專利資料為分析基礎,透過對該領域的關鍵字詞進行共詞分析,並輔以相關的分析工具,建立該領域的關鍵字網路圖、技術生命週期曲線以及策略地圖等,找出可撓式顯示技術的發展脈絡並釐清該技術領域子技術之間的關係。最後,再對於可撓式顯示器未來的技術發展趨勢進行預測。
    研究結果顯示可撓式顯示技術目前正處於競爭激烈的快速成長的發展階段。而在經本研究之分群方法所分出的三個子技術群集中,電泳顯示技術為目前可撓式顯示技術之技術發展重點;有機發光二極體顯示技術具有高度的成長空間;而膽固醇液晶顯示技術則是屬於技術發展十分成熟,但不在該技術領域研究中心的一項子技術。


    The study is concerning about technology forecasting in the flexible display technology. The manufacturing of flat panel displays is a continuously evolving industry. Technology advancements and new discoveries detected by display researchers bring about the improvements of flat panel display. Due to the characteristics of thin profiles, lightweight and flexibility, flexible display technology has been the most significant research field in the flat panel display technology domain. There are so many themes in the flexible display technology that we can’t recognize the theme which might dominate the future flexible display technology. Technology forecast can provide the solution and help us understanding this competitive technology.
    To know the development of flexible display technology, this thesis uses co-word method to analyze patent data. Moreover, we can understand the relationship between keywords by sketching the strategic diagram. Through this diagram we can detect the subjects of research in the area, the relationships between these subjects, the extent that they are central to area and the degree that they are internally structured. Furthermore, S-curve shows a description of life cycle on the flexible display technology.
    The result indicates that the development of flexible display technology is in the growing stage in the technology life cycle. Electrophoretic display is the most significant technology in the flexible display technology at present.
