本研究應用引力模型，探討影響全球各主要區域或國家金融保險服務貿易的因素。採用Eurostat自2003年到2007年的縱橫資料。解釋變數包括GDP、地理距離、世界經濟自由度、電子化整備度、匯率、相對距離與市場潛力。實證結果發現金融保險服務業貿易的GDP在出口國均為顯著，進口國GDP僅「歐盟出口至主要貿易國家」顯著。可能的解釋原因是歐盟已成為全球金融保險服務業的中心地區，有利於金融保險服務的出口。相對距離在各配對組合均不顯著，這顯示全球金融保險服務業的進出口貿易，較不易受到各區域或各國家間相對距離的影響。而歐盟的市場潛力越大時，會吸引全球金融、保險服務在此聚集，形成產業群聚的效應。另外在各別產業特徵方面，歐盟金融服務業明顯受到歐元對其他國家匯率波動的影響。保險服務業則當世界經濟自由度與電子化整備度越高時，會降低進口國在保險服務進口的依賴。

The study investigates the determinants of the inter-regional financial and insurance services trade with an augmented gravity model during the period from 2003 to 2007. Empirical results show as follows. First, the GDP has a significant impact to the financial and insurance services exports. Secondly, the higher the market potential of the European Union is, the more the global financial and insurance services trade caused by industrial cluster effect. Finally, the exchange rate significantly and positively impacts the EU financial services exports. the more complete the world economic freedom and e-readiness, the less the dependence of importing insurance services is.
