本論文研究主要目的為在CNC切削加工中心機上發展一中型工件表面之拋光加工製程,自行開發一新型橡膠圓柱狀拋光工具,其用途在於降低拋光球拋光大面積所產生加工時間過長之問題,並利用田口實驗計畫法探討STAVAX不銹模具鋼之建議拋光參數,將其應用於平面及曲面試件上。
研究中針對球擠光加工重新探討擠光參數,以縮短擠光加工時間,以及利用田口實驗計畫法決定不同直徑拋光工具之建議參數組合,經實驗結果得知建議擠光參數為:擠光力190 N、進給率1500 mm/min、間距0.03 mm,可使試件表面粗糙度由Ra 0.54 μm 改善至 Ra 0.087 μm;直徑10 mm拋光工具建議參數為:粒徑0.05 μm、轉速5000 rev/min、進給率60 mm/min、拋光力1.5 N、間距為拋光工具直徑百分比之15,可使試件表面粗糙度改善至Ra 0.073 μm;直徑20mm拋光工具建議參數為:粒徑1 μm、轉速3000 rev/min、進給率60 mm/min、拋光力1.5 N、間距為拋光工具直徑百分比之15,可使試件表面粗糙度改善至Ra 0.058 μm。
將建議之擠光及拋光參數應用於曲面,可使擠光後表面粗糙度由Ra 1.24 μm 改善至 Ra 0.117 μm,拋光後表面粗糙度可改善至Ra 0.083 μm。
The main purpose of this study is to develop a surface finishing process for a medium-sized workpiece on the CNC machining center. A new type of rubber cylindrical-shaped polishing tool has been developed to reduce the long processing time by using a polishing ball on a large area. The Taguchi Method of experiments has been applied to obtain the recommended polishing parameters for the STAVAX stainless mold steel, which have been applied to the plane and curved samples.
In the research, the parameters have been investigated for the ball burnishing process, to shorten the burnishing time. The recommended parameters of rubber cylindrical polishing tools with different diameters have been determined by the Taguchi Method of experiments. Based on the experimental results, the recommended burnishing parameters were as follows:the burnishing force of 190 N, the feed rate of 1500 mm/min, the stepover of 0.03 mm. The surface roughness of the test specimens could be improved from Ra 0.54 μm to Ra 0.087 μm. The recommended parameters for the polishing tool with 10 mm in diameter were as follows:the Al2O3 abrasive diameter of 0.05 μm, the spindle speed of 5000 rev/min, the feed rate of 60 mm/min, the polishing force of 1.5 N, the stepover of 15% of the diameter of the polishing tool , The surface roughness of the workpiece can be improved from Ra 0.083 μm to Ra 0.073 μm. The recommended parameters for the polishing tool with the 20 mm in diameter were as follows:the Al2O3 abrasive diameter of 1 μm, the spindle speed of 5000 rev/min, the feed rate of 60 mm/min, the polishing force of 1.5 N, the stepover of 15% of the diameter of the polishing tool, The surface roughness can be improved from Ra 0.083 μm to Ra 0.058 μm.
By applying the recommended burnishing and polishing parameters to the curved surface, the surface roughness can be improved from Ra 1.24 μm to Ra 0.117 μm after ball burnishing, and the surface roughness can be further improved to Ra 0.083 μm after the polishing process.
