  • 金融科技 (Financial technology,稱為 FinTech)是金融服務結合科技的創新運用,讓金融活動運作得更有效率,形成的一種經濟產業,而將科技創新手段運用在保險業的解決方案中,被稱為保險科技 (Insurance Technology,稱為 InsurTech),運用範圍包括車用保險、行動保險管理、小型企業保險、保險產業軟體…等。
    車用保險在過去是車輛使用的固定支出,被保險人皆以被動式或靜態式提供資料做為保險參考依據,如:年齡、性別、個人駕駛紀錄、汽車狀況…等,此傳統保險模式缺乏更完善的風險計算及彈性;而現今行動裝置普及、物聯網和雲端計算服務的蓬勃發展,使保險和科技兩者結合出一種創新應用,可根據即時的駕駛行為、道路車輛交通監控和車輛健康狀態,動態調整及量身打造新的保險費率,提供駕駛者更公平的保費藉以減少保費支出並且提升駕駛行為,政府則能改善道路及救援管理,也為保險公司篩選出更精準的風險評估模式。此新型的車險模式,可稱為 UBI 車險 (Usage-based insurance),是一種具有顛覆性的保險服務方式,將改變傳統車用保險的結構,為保險業者帶來巨大衝擊。
    本研究將針對全球 UBI 車險相關之專利,透過各國申請專利與專利權人相關比較,介紹專利權人申請概況,並運用技術生命週期與專利技術指標,探討 UBI車險之專利佈局與產業發展趨勢,更藉此深入研究其專利價值、研發能力和專利訴訟實力之分析。


    Financial technology, also known as FinTech, is an industry composed of companies that use new technology and innovation with available resources in order to compete in the marketplace of traditional financial institutions and intermediaries in the delivery of financial services. In FinTech proliferation, including automation of insurance, trading and risk management, that called insurance technology (known as InsurTech), the scope of application includes vehicle insurance, action insurance management, small business insurance, insurance industry software.
    Vehicle insurance in the past is a fixed charge, the insured are passive or static information provided as a basis for insurance, such as: age, gender, personal driving record, car status ... and so on, this traditional insurance model lack a perfect risk calculation and flexibility. And today's mobile device popularity, Internet of Things and cloud computing services goes to the vigorous with combine insurance and technology, this innovative application can be based on real-time driving behavior, road vehicle traffic monitoring and vehicle health status, dynamic adjustment and tailor-made new insurance rates, to provide insured with more fair premium to reduce premiums and enhance driving behavior.
    In this study will introduce discuss the main leading companies in the world form patent management of UBI. Through patent of technology life map and technical analysis indicators to discussion for patent portfolio and development trend, and also in-depth study of its patent value, research and development capabilities and patent litigation strength analysis.
